Change in IRD mileage rate for 2017

Operations

On 11 May 2017 the IRD published the mileage reimbursement rate for persons whose business travel is less than 5,000 km per year.

The new rate is 73c per km for both petrol and diesel fuel vehicles.

The equivalent rate last year was 74c per km.

The IRD have also set mileage rates for hybrid and electric cars. These mileage rates are:

  • Hybrid - 73c per km
  • Electric - 81c per km
